Arbor Day is an annual, secular, and international holiday, typically observed on the last Friday in April in the U.S. (which is April 24, 2026), dedicated to planting, nurturing, and celebrating trees to improve the environment and community. Founded by J. Sterling Morton in 1872 in Nebraska, it encourages conservation and future-focused environmental stewardship.

Although we won't be planting real trees at the library for Arbor Day, we can still create a beautiful tree craft in the Children's Department of the Kinnelon Public Library to help remind us all the great things about trees! Stop in to make yours today!

Remember, library programs are meant to be a bonding experience between child and caregiver. Caregivers MUST remain with their children AT ALL TIMES in the library and during library programs!
